Sekolah Rakyat Ancora in Solo are located in several sub-districts, such as Laweyan, Weru and Karanganyar, as pioneer pre-schools that introduce Nine Pillars of Character approach in the curriculum. This approach is highly well-received by the teachers as having positive impacts to their students. Among the improvements are personal characters in the students, among others are critical thinking, independence and tolerance.
The training has also invoked creativity among the teachers to develop teaching and learning methodologies at school. “I have been very inspired by the training, especially in developing new learning activities tailored to the needs of each student,” explained Fakar Nur Halim of KB Holistik Semata Hati School, Karanganyar.
