Yuyun Ismawati

Yuyun Ismawati is an activist for many environmental campaigns, both in Indonesia and abroad. She developed a number of environmental projects and was often invited to various international seminars as a representative speaker from Indonesia.

Yuyun received her Bachelor Environmental Engineering degree from Bandung Institute of Technology in 1990. This year she will continue her studies at the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford. Since she was in college, Yuyun was actively involved in an international expedition called Operation Raleigh as a scientist assistant with aim to explore the ecosystem at Manusela National Park in Maluku.

In 2000, she established her own foundation, BALIFOKUS, to disseminate community-based urban environmental management program to achieve the level that can be applied throughout Indonesia. One of her breakthrough program is community-based sanitation and waste management program which empower the underprivileged citizens to improve their own environment. She is also actively promoting toxics-free future campaign.

In 2009, Yuyun received the Goldman Environmental Prize, and in that same year she was named as one of the TIME Heroes of Environment 2009 by TIME Magazine and Gatra IKON 2009. In 2010, Yuyun Ismawati was named as one of the most inspiring social entrepreneur from Indonesia by the US President Barack Obama during the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship in Washington, D.C.

Adimukyo Mardjikoen

Adimukyo Mardjikoen is an Assistant to Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia. He joined Bank Indonesia in 1996, and started his career as a Bank Supervisor Trainee. He has extensive experience in both finance and banking. Prior to his career in Bank Indonesia, he worked in Matari-BBDO Indonesia as Account Executive. He has attended many Finance and Banking trainings, seminars or workshops in many countries. He was also a member of Indonesian Farmers Association (HKTI), Jakarta.

He graduated with Master of Sciences degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science, London, UK (2003) and Bachelor of Management from Universitas Gadjah Mada (1994). Adimukyo is pursuing his Master in Public Administration (MPA) degree at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, in the United States.

Chrysogonus Siddha Malilang

Chrysogonus Siddha Malilang who goes by a nickname Chrys graduated with Bachelor of English Education degree (with Excellent Predicate) from Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta. When he was in college, he achieved the 1st winner of writing contest held by the university study program in 2005. Chrys works as a part-time lecturer at Sanata Dharma University. Prior to his teaching career at Sanata Dharma University, he worked in SMAN 2 Yogyakarta (a public high school) as an English Debate Instructor.

Herfi Qurrota Hanina

Herfi Qurrota Hanina was born on 27th of March 1992 in Bogor, West Java. She is the best graduate in her high school and has many achievements including 1st winner of The Star Students in West Java 2009, 1st winner of Environmental English Debate in Bogor 2009, 1st winner of Jabodetabek Story Telling 2008 and 2009, and a participant of Indonesia’s Ministry of Education Student Exchange to Singapore in 2008.

Herfi is not only a bright girl, she is also good at performing traditional dancing, especially Jaipong (a traditional dance from West Java). She also loves to sing and play both traditional and modern musical instruments.

Her dream is to become a professional information technology engineer, and to fulfill her dream she is now pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology at Multimedia University in Kuala Lumpur under the scholarship from the Ancora Foundation and Yayasan Khazanah, Malaysia.

Malikulkusno Wijoyo Adhi Utomo

Malikulkusno Wijoyo Adhi Utomo or Dimas is a junior lawyer at a prestigious law firm in Jakarta, Indonesia. He graduated in 2007 from University of Indonesia majoring in Economic Law.

During his college years, Dimas was actively involved in Asian Law Students Association (ALSA), and was appointed the President of the International Board (2005-2006). Under his leadership, ALSA had made a number of achievements, among others, 1st runner up of the 2004 ALSA Asian Forum Varsity Debate Competition in Tokyo, Japan and 2nd runner up of the 2004 ALSA English Competition Varsity Debate in Jakarta. Dimas, who likes traveling and listening to jazz music, was also a member of International Law Moot Court Society (ILMS) and Business Law Society (BLS) at the University of Indonesia.
